This is a student project and is made only to show my design skills and my interest in gaming. Most of the assets are not owned by me and are owned by their respective companies.
PURPOSE OF PROJECT
The purpose of this project was to solve a potential opportunity I saw that can help grow a company I enjoy. The outcome of this project I wanted to have was, to relay that I can take a pre-existing brand and expand upon it.
BACKGROUND
Xbox is a video gaming brand created and owned by Microsoft. The brand consists of five video game consoles, as well as applications (games), streaming services, an online service by the name of Xbox network, and the development arm by the name of Xbox Game Studios.
THE PROBLEM
The problem with Xbox's social media engagement is that it isn't doing enough for the holiday spirit. Primarily during one of the most acclaimed and celebrated times of the year Christmas. The company wants more social media engagement.
THE SOLUTION
When approaching this project, I outlined some goals I wanted to accomplish with this problem. Aside from educating the social media team on how more Holiday themed posts can help lead to more engagement, other goals we set out for were;

Why? Because the company has many avenues and properties to create more holiday-themed posts.

Create a graphic that can be universal.

Why? Having a graphic that can be switched in and out with multiple game titles can be time effective and can bring more interactivity with customers if we display some of their favorite games.​

RESEARCH
In my investigation, I wanted to see key data from Xbox's social media in relation to its competitors. I was looking into Xbox's posts and seeing their likes and comment sections and getting data on overall engagement.

KEY INSIGHTS
With more holiday posts being made the increase in likes and comments was shown. With this insight, this means that with more posts there will be a higher probability of follows, and the end result is the purchase of the console or Xbox Game Pass subscription.
Banners
Banners were made to give the web team a potential hero image for the holiday season. This was an additional piece I thought would go beyond the scope of the project.



POSTS
These are the Instagram posts that show off the Xbox Game Pass services. Along with the three posts that can be interchangeable with any of the hundreds of games they license. These can be story posts or regular posts.
